Noble - Letter to Families

Dear Families,

Earlier today, the video of the fatal beating of Tyre Nichols, who died after a traffic stop by police, was released by Memphis officials. To say the very least, the video is shocking.

Like other videos we have seen in the past, the violence depicted has caused great pain for some students, staff, and families alike. Many are being forced to relive past trauma.

It is difficult to know exactly what to say in response to the video. I can say that, at Noble Academy, we remain committed to ensuring a safe, welcoming, and positive learning environment in each of our schools. This is a commitment we take very seriously.

If you are feeling dismayed or isolated as we learn more about the situation in the video, please know that you are not alone. We are fortunate to live, work, and learn in a school district community made up of people who truly support one another. It is our hope that the trauma we are experiencing together will eventually help us all learn and grow as individuals and as a society.

Please know that counselors will be available to meet with students and staff now and in the coming days. If your child needs assistance dealing with this situation, please contact a counselor. You may set up an appointment with a counselor by emailing:
