Grades 3-5 visited the Anthony Thomas Chocolate Factory on March 2, 2017. Students were taken on a tour of the factory and got to see each part of production of some of the chocolate goodies. At the end of the tour, each student got a chocolate Buckeye and was able to purchase an item from the chocolate shop!
The 5th Graders visited Columbus State to attend Science workshops. This great program is entitled, “Fun Fridays” and is only offered to upper elementary and middle school students. The 5th graders went to three workshops taught by Columbus State professors. In the workshops, they dissected owl pellets, studied rocks and learned about geology and learned about how the brain helps us see and hear.
